An animated movie poster for the swiss film the miraculous transformation of the working class in foreigners
Legends transformed into digital avatars
This movie was primarily created by the Tschoint Venture Film Production. We were given the opportunity to design the movie poster for it. The task was quite challenging but all in all a really nice experience.
The main focus of the movie poster didn’t concentrate on the actual characters of the movie, but on thinkers who were resolutely against totalitarian or Stalinist interpretations of left-wings ideas.

We were able to test new software to create the 3D characters. Meta Human is a tool which allows to define the main facial structure of a character.
When starting with a basic character preset, we tried to come as close to our ideals as possible.

The 3D models were then imported into another 3D program where they’ve been given hair, textures, and clothes.Hair is added
They were to wear specific clothes and accessoires which shows that they’re part of the working class.

Animation process
Finally the characters are being animated. Since the’re quite hyperrealistic but doll-like we had to find a middle way of animating facial expression. So that it looks not as a human but still realistic animation-wise.
